As a professional educator with over two decades of engagement in the K-12 community, I have experience working with diverse student populations in Chicago, IL as well as Duarte and Inglewood, CA.
My formal training includes a bachelor’s degree in Educaion-Elementary/Special Education and one in Computer Science; a master’s degree in Teaching with a Reading Specialization from National University. I am currently a Resource Specialist for the Inglewood Unified School District while also pursuing a Doctor of Education in Organizational Leadership/Special Education from Grand Canyon University.
In addition to my experience as a 1st grade teacher and 8th grade reading intervention teacher, I have worked as a computer programmer and system analysis engineer in the corporate world. I also have a passion for physical fitness and the arts. I have worked with various arts programs to build
partnerships and have been successful getting other community business leaders to partner with the Inglewood School District.
